This cozy nature-led yurt site near Kilmory is set on the southern end of the Scottish Isle of Arran. The island holds the honourous title UNESCO Global Geopark for its terrestrial and marine zones that record 600 million years of Earth’s history. Let this place become your haven while discovering the mythical wilderness or Arran. Three yurts sit around an orchard and meadow beside the Old Manse, open for stays from February to the end of November. The site has two 20ft yurts sleeping up to six guests and one 18ft yurt sleeping up to four, all with comfort and a direct connection to outdoor living. This listing is Monamore, located at the lower end of our orchard amongst ash and sycamore trees. It sleeps up to six people via a double bed and two double futons. Alternate sleeping configurations can be provided if preferred, including a cot. The yurts come with bedding, towels, books, toys, games, solar lighting, WiFi and a wood-burning stove/cooker with oven for warmth and simple cooking. Each yurt also has its own outdoor firepit with seating, cooking utensils and picnic bench, plus access to a shared kitchen area with kettle, toaster, microwave and a private fridge. An additional adult charge applies for each adult above two in a yurt: €20,- per person per night. There are no additional charges for children. The site is deliberately car-free. Parking is a couple of minutes’ walk away, with a wheelbarrow available for bags, leaving the orchard and meadow safe and open for children to run and play. From the yurts, guests can walk to the beach in around 15 minutes, reach the local bar and restaurant in around 10 minutes, pick up essentials from a small shop nearby, or head straight onto forestry tracks for walking, running and mountain biking.
